How is a Web site created?

The following steps are normally followed when creating a new Web site:

Requirements Gathering/Analysis:

We usually start our work on a new project with thorough research of our clients' needs: the target audience, existing competition and the goals our clients would like to accomplish. We work with them every step of the way to define measurable goals and objectives of the Web site that we're about to design for them.

During this step, we also define the information architecture and user experience, as well as functional requirements. A proposed site map and wire frames are presented to the client showing the architecture of the site, navigation scheme and general layout. Based on client's input, we finalize a Functional Specifications document (user requirements).

Interface Design:

During the interface design phase, we work to define the graphical interface, based on the site map, wire frames and functional specifications described above. Existing coporate branding, style guides and logos are also incorporated into the design. Based on client's input, we finalize the look and feel of the site.

There are several ways to finalize a look and feel for your Web site. The least expensive, would be to first choose an existing Web site template from either www.oswd.org or www.templatemonster.com.

The selected design should closely matche the functional requirements of the Web site. When choosing an existing template, all that has to be done is to create the HTML and compile the content, to bring the Web site to life.

Development:

At this point, the Functional Specifications document and Interface Designs, can be turned over to another organization for development and implementation, or Nyetech can also manage the development and rollout.

The Web site would be built based on specifications developed in the prior steps, in accordance with the delivery schedule defined in a contract. The visual layouts are converted into live pages - HTML code and optimized images are created. During this stage, the back-end functionality is also implemented in form of online content, online storefronts, catalogs etc - as per the functional specifications.

When we develop a Website, we make sure that it works with leading Web browsers such as Internet Explorer 6, 7 and Firefox 1.5 and 2.0. We also know how to optimize graphics for the web so that they load fast and still look good in all resolutions.
